Indian Ocean Islands Seminar from 18-20 July 2008
« We had been wanting to meet
for 6 years! »
The wish finally came true thanks to
the perseverance of the members of
the coordination and the financial
support of the HOAC movement of
Spain. Twelve delegates f rom
Mauritius, Madagascar, Rodrigues and
Reunion attended a seminar in St
Gabriel on Rodrigues Island from
18-20 July 2008. Two members of
ACO France also attended as guests.
The participants shared their thoughts
and pooled their expertise on the
principal theme of Decent Work for a
New Life and the second theme
Migrant Workers and Globalisation.

The catholic workers association of Bangladesh (CWAB)
Bangladesh is a Muslim country with 2 %
Catholics. The CWAB was founded in 1986
with the support of the archbishop of
Dhaka. It is an organisation of Christian
workers in the 6 archdiocese of
Bangladesh. With more than 100 groups,
they are working in the vision developed by
Joseph Cardijn for a better life and more
respect for the working class. They are
fighting against discrimination and for the
dignity of each man and woman.
